Default Photoshop for Silk Screening

Hi, I need to do a project called silk screening in my art class. I was wondering if anyone will help me make a picture into something that looks like this: http://www.escrappers.com/images/warhol4.jpg

I do not have the program myself, so I would appreciate it if some one can help me with this big favor. Thank you so much!

The picture that needs to be edited is
ImageShack - Hosting :: dsc00116uu0.jpg

The background can be left out also. Thanks so much!

okay, youre lucky... cuz im actually in two different classes at my high school that deal with this general topic: one about photoshop, and one where we have an option to silkscreen, so i know a little about both...
now you said that you dont own photoshop? (this would be a problem, cuz then i cant walk you through it, really... but we can get you it, if youd like )
and how much experience do you have on photoshop?
when is this due?
and are you looking for me to do this for you, or to tell you how to?
(cuz the former is unlikely to happen, cuz you wont learn anything... but the latter takes almost as much time... hmmm...)
this is a fairly easy thing to do... just a little bit time consuming...
let me know some details, then ill see what i can do - RK

I don't have photoshop. Using photoshop to make it black and white like that picture is only the beginning, to get it ready so I can trace it and put it onto the silk screen.

I would love to get photoshop... I have never played with photoshop before.

Well, I was hoping someone can help me do the picture first, just incase if something goes wrong and I dont make it ontime.

No torrent links here.

now, as to your photo... i guess ill do it for you then, since you dont have any photoshop experience... but i suggest you check out some photoshop lessons... theyre floating out there somewhere on the net, offical adobe ones... and they walk you through all the basics... step by step... i think this kinda stuff is about lesson 5 or 6 tho... its a great program and totally worth getting to know, so... its worth your time...

ill probably go ahead and just do my best to photoshop this for you then... and ill link you to the file some time later tonight, if thats soon enough?
you never did give me a due date...

and i assume you want the guy and the girl's faces but nothing else in the background?
working on that assumption, ill see what i can do... no guarantees...
and if anyone else in these fine forums wants to help out too, youre welcome to as well, if you think you can do a better job then me... thanks... - RK

hmmm... this is a trickier than i thought it would be... see, the background behind the two people in the picture is very dark... and so is their hair... so the computer is having a hard time differentiating between the two

that, and i can NOT find the setting/tool for pure black and white... grrr... ill keep looking... im still pretty new to PS myself, so... i havent quite got it mastered... but i wont have it beat me just yet!

*back to work - RK

RK, I thank you so much for all the help!!

Anyways, Yes, it is a very hard piece due to the background interference. I would suggest to cut out the whole background, and improvise a little bit on the hair of the girl. It will not come out perfect, but anything will work!! Thank you!
