Aright, so I've been using Photoshop 6 for the longest time. I started on version 4, hated version 5 so stuck with 4, then 6 came out and I liked 6 and have been on it ever since. Photoshop 7 didn't impress me very much and it seemed like it was coming out right around when XP was first coming out and they started to go to that stupid hippy gel button look, plus I didnt like it's features....wasn't a big fan of of PS8 aka CS either as it didn't seem too different from 7.......
So anywho I decided to get and try out Photoshop 9...seems basically like the others thus far, but my main question here is how to select an image in a certain layer......meaning in photoshop 6 you'd hold down CONTROL then click on the image and bam it selects JUST the outline of whatever the image is, so in otherwords if it was just text it would simply select just the outline of the text..........so I go to do this in 9 and low and behold holding CTRL then clicking the layer does absolutely nothing.....now they've made CTRL do nothing but enable you to select multiple layers like normal files within WinXP......
So, how do I go about doing the layer selection from 6 since it no longer works by using CTRL+Click layer
