Default Photoshop CS > Photoshop CS2

I know that PSCS2 has more features but I have experienced a bug with it. I notice that sometimes the Menus don't come down as fast as I click them, or sometimes no options are available. Does anyone else gets this? I've seen this on both my computer, and my school's computer.

I have not used CS, but I think CS2 has more Brushes, fliters, and transforming options, plus it has smart object so when you shrink things they dont loss quality.

HDR and Vanishing point for photography as well. Photoshop is mostly a digital darkroom for photos than to actually creates pictures from scratch.

What would you use for creating pictures from scratch?
