Default Photo Display Problem.

Hello - and I hope that I am doing this in the right area.

My problem has to do with a display issue, regarding my uploaded photos to two sites. I am an amateur photographer who hopes to earn at least some supplemental income with my efforts, and have signed on for trial accounts with SmugMug & Zenfolio. I have uploaded a few test photos, to each site, but cannot view them from my computer. All I get are references to the photos, and that is about it. At Zenfolio, I can indeed see the photos when I am in the 'Editing' screen, but as soon as I enter the 'Visitor View' - or 'Home' page - only the blank thumbnails are displayed.

If I access my site from any other computer, I can see everything as properly as I should. But I need for everything to be 'right' at my computer, as this is where all of my photographic work is performed. I contacted Zenfolio (as that site is the one that I like the best), and they tried their best to help me. But my problem is not born from an issue with their site (or I wouldn't be able to see things right on any computer), but - rather - from issues with my own computer.

Would anyone have an idea of what is wrong?

Blessings,
Nathan

Hi. Welcome to Tech Forums!

A link to the site and your photos may help. Can you see other pictures on other sites or do you always have problems viewing pictures? Is it a white box with a little red X in the top left that shows up?

Without knowing exactly what the problem is I can only think of a couple solutions. First make sure your browser is set to view images. Second try another browser. For instance, if you are using IE try Firefox. If that doesn't work, make sure you have the newest version of your browser installed. Finally, make sure you have any plug-ins that the site may require installed.

Hope that helps.

Hi Synergy ~

And thanks for the welcome, as well as the offer of help. It turns out, however, that I have found a way around that problem. I don't know why I didn't think about it before, but something told me to try signing in to my Zenfolio account via Internet Explorer. I did, and what do you know? Yes, that's right: everything is showing up just as it is supposed to. So, it was Firefox (even though I have the latest version installed) that proved to be the culprit. But I thank you for even considering to help me.

Blessings,
Nathan
