| Re: Osiris Spyware Guide - How to make it better I would consider trying to find someone who knows how to code to help the site look more uniform across all browsers.
The site only looks good in IE. The pages are centered and everything like they should. But Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari all have them left aligned. At least when you click on the XP Part.

Usually some sites I've been to had an opening statement and such so I figure I would add one as well, maybe it's not need and if not, what do I fill the void with? | It wouldn't really leave a void. I suppose it's really personal opinion here, some people would say they'd want a quick, short description of the site's purpose, others would say they'd want something longer and more personal to help the reader associate themselves with the site. In the end it's really up to you. |

This will be changed and use the new format when complete. |

| Re: Osiris Spyware Guide - How to make it better Not exactly. When i opened up the site in all browsers, only IE showed it right. Yeah the rest showed the main page but they were more zoomed in and had larger text and everything. They were not centered like IE was.
So there is some code that is still very IE specific.

I think you need to reinstall your operating system and look again
That's weird, I have all 3 up, side by side, the only difference I see is in FF, the text is just a smidge "thicker". Otherwise, they are identical. The other site is all messed up thou. |

| Re: Osiris Spyware Guide - How to make it better I think if you're going for a portal look then you might as well use Joomla or WP. With this template you will have a very limited area for your actual guide (assuming you put it in that content area.) I would do a simple banner up top with a horizontal navigation bar linking to the different guides and also a download page. Then in a footer you can link to all the other sites and stuff. I dunno...this site looks good, but I think it distracts from the important part...that being the guide.

| Re: Osiris Spyware Guide - How to make it better The only differences I can see between IE and other browsers (FF and Chrome) is that IE has ClearType on.

I had them all up, i should have taken a screen shot. You must have made adjustments cause it looks much better now.
