Myspace Tags/Class IDs

So I'm about to re-design my bands myspace, and I know about Div Layers and all that stuff (sorta

) but my problem is, I don't know what tags are assigned to what objects.

i.e. if i want to change the contact table, I know i need the .Contacttable Class ID, but how do I find out the names of the rest of them?

(p.s. don't crucify me for making a topic relating to myspace, it's for my band, and networking sites such as myspace are great for promoting)

You would probably have to go through the code line by line and see what you think is what you want to chage. Then, change it, save the changes, and test it.

It will be a lot of trial and error, but thats really the only good way to get a complete custom layout.

umm, there is no code to paste

When you edit a myspace profile, you simply add code to a section which is completely blank at first.

In order for you to edit an object you'd need to know it's class ID
and how am i supposed to find that out?
especially with no pre-exhisting code to go through

Can you find a layout somewhat similiar to what you are looking for, and mod it from there?

Or find out what programming language myspace uses, and look up info. about that langauge, and start customizing from there.

myspace uses basic html

i changed mines from the basic to my personal preference using div tags
layouts are a great to get started on a design

First of all you need to find a layout or use the MySpace layout generator. You can't edit the contact table on the basic layout. You need to find a contact table code to add to your profile and then do whatever you want to it, code wise. I've added a new layout that is Flash based, looks much better than before and cleaner. Check mine out....
