Question Java Script Errors

I'm currently designing a website. I was looking for something to be able to collect email addresses (visitor submits their email address) and it would be added to a database of some sort so that we could send out monthly newsletters. I found a java applet that looked good however whenever I access it on the website I am prompted with a javascript error do I want to continue or no. Is there anyway to fix this javascript so that this box will not pop up in IE? (it's just annoying...email form works great)
