Image help please

Ok so I have a pretty big image that I want to post on a message board, but whenever I use the plain img tags, it displays my image smaller, making it distorted looking.

How do I make it so that it displays a little smaller but then people can click on it to see the full size?

Upload it to imageshack and use the thumbnail.
