Default I can't understand this problem (Flash)

Anytime I load a page with Flash, it asks me to go download it. So I do, and then the flash window pops up indicating it has been installed....yet it still never works.

Any ideas?

Internet Explorer.

I have active scripting enabled, if you were also wondering that.
