Default How to do this simple selection in Photoshop CS2

I saw this ad for selecting an area in Elements 4.0, how do I do it in CS2? I think it's called the scribble tool...

Quickly retouch specific areas

Easily select by brushing over any element of your photo to make a range of adjustments to a specific area or object.

magic wand tool, umm...

spot healing brush...

I'm not sure exactly what they are showing in the pic...

the wand tool could select the blue area withougt haveing to draw the selection...

and the spot healing brush could help to remove those red scribbles...

i think the red is the area you are improving. i think the best way would be:

1. magic wand the blue, and then invert the selection.
2. change the brightness and contrast, and the levels to make it look right.
3. if you dont want do it yourself, use the auto brightness, contrast, color and levels.

I prefer doing it myself, I dont like to use the auto levels and all that stuff.
Anyways, that was a stock advertisement, I was just curious how to get about doing that.

yea, just manually adjust the brightness/contrast/levels/colorbalance then. just make the selection first.
