Default free transform in photoshop cs2

when using the free transform tool in photoshop cs2 does anyone know how to get rid of the handles so you can see your work better?

while im on the topic of photoshop... how do you make those glass like sigs with the lines going through them that say stuff like 'mozzila user'/'ati user'?
