Question DPI - Need help understanding - DPI

I have to convert an image to 2400 DPI (Dots Per Inch?), but I am unsure how I can check it or change it to 2400DPI or lesser

I use adobe photoshop CS, and my client will be printing the image on a DVD

I dont know if Pixels per inch are the same as Dots per inch but I believe the resolution of the image is 72pixels/inch, 784 Pixels wide and 784 Pixels height

if anyone knows how i can calculate dots per inch on the image please help, thanks
