Default Do i need a fast processor for graphic design and 3d modeling

Do i need a fast processor for graphic design and 3d modeling, im will be using photoshop, macromedia flas, and programs like that, and 3D Studio Max!

Will i need a fast processor for these, and also could you suggest any specifications i should use in my computer that i will be using.

If u are Graphic Designer then u need a simple P4 or AMD athlon
and If you are using 3dmax,Maya,cinema 4d then u should Go for INTEL HT technology or Amd 64 Bit
System specification :-
INTEL 3.2 HT Processor
Motherboard... any which is supported AGP 8x Technology
Ram 1GB
HDD 200 GB
Graphic Card : Geforce FX 5950 or ATI Radeon X800
And offcourse Dvd Writer
This system is really good for your Graphics and 3d Work

Read my sig, I would recommend a system similar or AMD Athlon 64 as aqeelraza stated.

go with duel core and tell me how is it..
but for 3d modeling your are going to need alot of ram min1-2 gig becouse max uses alot of ram ..when rendering max uses almost 100% of you ram..max is a very demanding ...i build a system that was cofiged by some one on this forum
