I want to copy a gif image to a blank canvas which is bigger than the gif image, but how do i do it so that the gif image still moves when on the bigger canvas?

If you dont have the original file this will be really tough to do. Since you will need Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Fireworks to accomplish this since you have to work frame by frame. Which if you dont ahve the original file you wont haev each frame which makes it even more difficult to do this.

GIFWorks.com! Free Online GIF Tools

Great site that lets you upload your GIF and then edit it... enlarge, reduce, frame by frame, whatever. Definitely worth a bookmark.

You can do it through fireworks if you translate it into a object using fireworks you should be able to resize it to fit on your blank canvas. Enjoy Nick
