whats an easy 3d program to start with, I have tried 3dsMax, but I have no clue what to do... so far the only 3d program I was able to learn was some freeware 3d canvas program and it didn't have hardly any features...

REGARDING THE FREEWARE MODELING SOFTWARE THEY ARE CRAP..NOTHING MORE..
I USED MAYA AND MAX AND THEY ARE ALMOST THE SAME...
IF YOU WANT TO LEARN MODELING START BY LEARNING THE BASICS AND THE TEARMS..I HAVE AN OLD 3D TRAINING CD THAT WALKS YOU THROUGH THE BASICS THE TEARMS..THE COOL THING THAT HE EXPLAINS EVERY THING BY WORKING ON MODELING A TEXTURING A FISH ..THAT SHOULD BE A GOOD START FOR YOU..IF YOU WANT I CAN SEND IT TO YOU...
I WOULD RECOMMEND LEARNING MAX BECOUSE IF YOU LEARN MAX YOU CN LEARN ANYTHING ELLS..THERE IS ALSO SOME GOOD U TUTORIAL ON 3DTOTAL.COM CALLED JHON OF ARC ITS BY A FRENCH ARTIST BUT ITS BEEN TRABSELATED TO ENGLISH ITS A GOOD WAY TO START MODELING THE HUMAN FIGURE ALTHOUGH I DONT LIKE BOX MODELING BUT WITH THE CD AND WITH THE TUORIAL YOU CAN SWITH TO POLY MODLING OR WHATEVER YOU WANT..
IF YOU WANT TO LEARN MODELING FOR REAL I AM WILLING TO HELP YOU AS MUCH AS I CAN

thanks, I apreciate it, but why so helpfull? and why ALL CAPS?

I've been useing 2d graphic design software(although most of its outdated) my favorite is arcsoft photostudio 2000 because of the simplicity, but I usually use 3 programs at a time, photo studio, corel paint, and mspaint... I'll pm u something..

I do like the idea of trying that cd, but how will you send it to me?
I wouldn't mind giveing you a mailing address, but it might be easier to email an iso... depending on the cd's copyrights...
