PHPBB have support forums, fill in a request template, will get your question answered more quickly

A quick overview though, you enter you MySQL database name, which you should have already created, wack this in then, your username and password (what you access your database with, ususally you hosting account deatails too) there is also a field for localhost if i remember rightly (contact your hosting company if you do not know this, usually its in your hosting account area somewhere)

Common errors are you either have entered a database name which you have not yet created, therefor it does not exist and cannot write to it, password is incorect or your localhost is wrong. Everything else phpbb does its self.

Again ask in the phpbb support forums as they are dealing with it all the time, phpBB • View forum - 2.0.x Support Forums

, Tkey - if you are unsure PM me and ill happily help you out.

There are many free forum scripts available, all pretty much the same
Most common are phpbb and smf. These you install on your MySQL database and your hosting account.

However if you dont have the knowhow or are on a free host, there are certain site which will give you a free forum. There are hundreds so search google for them.

SMF, invision free, phpbbfree, the list just goes on, the only drawback is most are ad supported, which lets face it no one likes.
Also with a remote hosted forum you do not have access to the raw files and can only have the templates/mods that the free host has put on for you.

Your best off getting some hosting and doing the forum script yourself, off hand i know phpbb have a support forum that has plenty of staff "in the know" to fix any problems you may have.

Good luck, Tkey

What you need to think is what makes it different from all the rest?
Why would i want to post in a dead forum, if i could get a better response from tech-forums ?

yea i see what you mean maybe i could somehow create a instant messaging site like qunu.com, with a forum. Or run like a chatbot on the web that if you input the problem picks up keywords and gives information back.

Can you think of anything or do you thgink it is a good idea?

Nice website, I believe though the graphic intro should be enhanced.
