| Try again! | Interesting Topic. As far a the technical side of the site goes, I would say the splash page, where you click to enter into the forums, is too big. Reduce the image size because I'm on 1024 x 768 right now, and I have to scroll sideways to see the entire image (A no-no in web design). The same goes for the banner on the forums. Try to reduce the size a little bit, so that the width is less that 800 px. That way, if someone is viewing on 800 x 600 resolution, they won't have to scroll sideways at all. Other than the few things I've pointed out, it's not bad at all.

| All round good guy! | Ok so we got a massive image too big for my res ![]() A SMF free forum with "No posts" scattered here and there Few members, which makes my think im not going to get a variation of feedback on my discussion, why not pop over to automotiveforums ?? Basically what im trying to say is, what makes your site differ from all the rest out there. You have the enthusiasm which is great, but iv seen all too many forums come and go inculding a few of my own. Here are some tips to get it off the ground. Sort your web design out, test in in a few different browsers and res's Get some members, even if they are really you, lets face it who wants to post in a dead forum Post some topics and posts with your fake accounts, make the site look active. Get some daily news feeds, even if it is a cut and paste. After that advertise advertise and advertise, tell people in the street, whatever it takes to get it off the ground. Then you can sit back and and watch ![]() Take these in mind, and the very best of luck ![]() Tkey |

| $opening = "::wavewave::"; echo = "I can't type any more than what has already been typed. I agree with the above posters, and just want to say that you site does look incredible. I love the colors mostly, but looks like it can really take off once it gets more people. Also, I just noticed while glancing at the tab of your page (Opera), your page is still entitled Index. All in all, great job, and I wish you the best of luck."; |

| Host the forum yourself. Ad-ridden forums are annoying.

| Well, you'd have to have hosting. You could run a linux box, but that is complicated. You can get decent hosting at ~$3 a month, though, check out webhostingbuzz.com, then once you have the hosting, just setup a forum script like phpbb.
