ok, so I am trying to get a dumb blog going with blogger.com

Here's the problem...
I set up one for a friend with no problems. He has his site hosted by a hosting company.

I then attempted to set my own up using my shaw.ca web space.

If anyone here has used blogger.com, you know you can set the settings to publish the blog right away to your personal webspace. However, when i enter the ftp info, it does not publish. It just reloads, and reloads and reloads without actually updating anything.

My question I guess, is if my ftp server is ftp.shaw.ca (which of course is ISP hosted) allows this? why will it not publish? Can blogger.com use ISP ftp's? Or do I actually need a domain name and a web hosted ftp?
