AVI shrinking help

ok so heres what i need. I made a video and when i finish it it was like 500mb. I want to put it on youtube but they only allow 100mb.
what i want is a program so i can shrink the size of the the file and keep as much quality as i can.
If you could also give instructions on wat to do to shrink it.
Im new to this shrinking stuff so i dont no about the framerate and stuff.
Any help would be much apresciated.

I recommend googling for "shrink AVI" and see what comes up. Google is your friend.

I know there are programs out there that will do that; but they might not be free.

ok thnx man.
I found one and it worked! it was a trial one but i did it. And wat suprised me is that almost all of the quality remained the same.
Well thnx anyway im really happy now. XD
