i would go with the 1.42ghz iBook, the only thing i dont like about the iBook is the dated graphics, i know thats a wierd thing to say considering you need to speen $1500+ for graphics on a pc laptop, but the best you can run on an iBook is Halo.

For a dell or gateway.....you really pay for what you get....

For an apple, you OVERpay for what you really get......mostly because of the hardware components........

I always try to get a laptop without an os, because many vendors put junk on the os, and rig the registry....so you cant uninstall it....you have to remove it by force......

Since mac os is not x86 compiled.....just get OSX and slipstream some scripts and homebrew patches, and you can actually run it on a computer you want to run it.....not the one your forced to...
