About a week ago i was listening to music via my surround sound system through my 1 month old Macbook. After unplugging it, my sound disappeared. Garageband displays error 10202 upon starting it up. In my system preferences, i have no choices under either 'input' or 'output'. When pressing the adjust audio buttons on my keyboard, i get a 'no' icon and am not able to do so. I do not get a startup sound. I have done a hardware test and it shows no problems. I have also done a memory reset, as well as booted in safe mode. I have reset my permissions via disk utility. I have tried reinstalling os X with no success. Given applecare's awesome business hours, im no longer able to reach them, and therefore im stuck without sound. I believe my sound drivers have disappeared. Is there any place where it would be possible for me to download them as i have done in the past with a PC. Im a bit disappointed with mac, 1 month, and im already having trouble. Awesome for 1800 bucks. Help me? Please?
