Oh my...

Well, at least Apple did it before some greasy hacker could do it.
It'll be interesting to see how well this takes with consumers.
IMHO, I don't think it'll be that popular

LOL, can't believe you didn't know about that, really.

So my question is, will it work for other OSs too, like Linux?

Yes, but I don't think it's as easy as they just made installing XP.

I am really not sure what kind of move they just made, this is a rather strange thing if you ask me. The best thing Mac has going for it...is Mac, both PC components and Macintosh components are too similiar to see any real difference there. I suppose it will be easy for consumers who don't want to purchase XP to run XP only things but want to have a Mac rather than a PC.

Actually GameGURU, while the hackers managed to get the hack running, their was a huge lack of drivers for nearly all of the hardware, and so Apple is the first to actually create a nearly full-fledged running hack that will allow video drivers and such to work at 100%. There are a few issues with it though, such as you can't use the built in iSight at the moment (if ever possible), because there is no windows XP support for it ... yet, if ever.
