Default Safari 3 Public Beta for Windows

The world's best browser. Now on Windows, too.

Today at WWDC 2007, Steve Jobs announced during his keynote speech that Safari, Mac OS X's standard browser, is now coming to Windows.

Experience the web, Apple style, with Safari; the fastest, easiest-to-use web browser in the world. With its simple, elegant interface, Safari gets out of your way and lets you enjoy the web - up to 2 times faster than Internet Explorer.

Tried it.

Not very impressed. It's fast...and that's about all I can say for it.

Yeah, Apple needs to learn that just because something looks pretty in OS X, that doesn't mean it'll look good in Windows.

BTW, welcome back lonewolf - haven't seen you in a while.

Ive heard some things about it not being secure and that it is just like IE. But I heard that on Systemwars and that might not be reliable.

Well, a good chunk of OS X's exploits aren't really OS X exploits - they're Quicktime or Safari. So I think it's safe to say there WILL be problems with Safari, even in Windows.
