Default Refresh my memory...

I know this could be done with G3s and Pre-G3s....but....

can you take a hard drive pre-loaded with Mac OS 10.x or 9.x and swap it directly in a G4/G5 with little to no issues?

Another question while I'm here....

Is it possible to run widgets in Jaguar 10.2.8?

You can swap with G4's, but I'm not sure about G5's. It seems like there shouldn't be a problem, but I don't know.

You can run widgets in any pre-Tiger OSX by using Konfabulator. You can get it at VersionTracker.com, just search for Konfabulator.

...it ain't Konfabulator no more...

As for swapping the drives, it should work in most G3 and G4 machines, save for the ones that are unable to boot certain versions of OS9 or OS9 at all.

Can't you just run classic in OSX anyway? My Powerbook G4 came with 10.2 (or maybe 10.1 can't totally remember), and I can still run classic.
