I recenetly bought a mac as oppose to a windows based pc.

I have a wireless netgear router that i'm trying to set up as an internet connection, but for the life of me can't get any joy what so ever.

I have phoned a help line reference this problem, and been told that i need an apple approved product (ie not netgear) for this to work correctly.

In terms of knowing much about macs at all, i'm pretty useless, and would appreciate any light that people can shed on this problem.

A step by step walkthrough would be great! lol.
