Nothing, in fact I use quite a bit of it.

whoa, wait a minute. Apache is open source and it runs over 60% of all web servers. Linux is open source and is many times more secure and stable than Windows

I don't feel that way at all...to me, it's more "you get what you DON'T pay for". I haven't payed for any of the software on my computer, OS included, and it's all legal. My computer is running faster, more stable, easier to maintain, probably more secure, and just as functional if not more so, than back when it ran Windows. So it was harder to setup, and perhaps learn about...I feel it's been worth it.

Sorry.... Neither I nor 99.9999999999% of computer users run a web server, do you?
Actually, yes. I ran a web server last month but it turned out it put excess load on my internet connection. In around 2 months ill be switching to a faster connection so i will run a HTTP server, Counter Strike server, Torrent Tracker, FTP Thingo, all through Linux.

I just mentioned what first came to mind. Openoffice - a free office suete that rivals microsoft office.
Firefox - The best browser

etc etc

Nope. If you don't agree with me, you don't agree with me. If you're a cynisict, you're a cynisict. Period.

You have a tendency to put a negative spin on things and glaze over important points. Tsk, tsk, tsk...

I understand the part about IE, but not OO. Since OpenOffice can save documents in Office compatible formats (and Office, for me, reads these files flawlessly 100% of the time), I don't see how it was a compatibility problem...

In the case of Open Source, you pay nothing because the people who write the programs dont want to make a profit but they want to make good quality code.

i thought in order to install osx on an x86 pc, you just got that thing called darwin, and used your purchased tiger CD to install ontop of that? obviously downloading the torrent "tiger-x86 Kr4x0r3d edition" is illegal .. but i thought there was a legal way.
