Default MacBook and Windows XP... I think I stuffed up

Hello,

My fingers are crossed that someone can help me, as I think I just really stuffed up and wasted a brand new $2300 machine.

I used Boot Camp to install Windows XP, but did not read it clearly that it must be XP with SP2 already. Now, I can not boot into MacOS X when I turn the macbook on and I can't format XP.

Is there anything I can do, or am I stuck with a really expensive paperweight?

Boot off your OS X disc, if you can. Do a restore/repair/whatever it's called install.

Just as I was at my wits end I found out what some of the Mac start up keys are, and was able to press C to boot from the Mac OS disk and I was able to fix the problem that way.

Are there any other shortcuts and stuff like that I should know?

Apple-Option-P-R resets the PRAM. There are others, but gosh darnit, I can't think of them at the moment.
