| I stood up all night, looking at Ebay, Apple.com, Cnet.com about every computer selling web there is...and i finly decided to buy a Mac mini, i mean its duo, can be expaned to 1gb ram, 60-150gb HD not sure about video card (if someone can explain me) but im not planing on playing lots of games....and its CHEAP and its looks promissing.....Maybe littel too good to be true??? but mac mini is probly the one ima go for....if anyone hase any coments or tips id be happy to look at them...thnx again to all those who helped me out alot...and ill let u guys know how the mac mini is when i get it.... |

| Monster Techie | Note that the Mini is a desktop computer. You had mentioned earlier that you wanted a notebook computer, not a desktop. Also, I'm not entirely sure how good the Mini will be for gaming. The Video accelerator is built-in to the Intel Chipset and uses shared memory so you'll need that 1gb of RAM if you want to play games on OS X. But, since its the Intel CoreDuo processor, music software will fly at top-speed, and you can even partition your hard drive and install Windows XP if you like. If you choose to buy the Mini, don't forget that you need to have your own Monitor and USB keyboard/mouse to use since it doesn't come with its own. ![]()

| yea i got a moue and monitor... i just need a USB keyborde, and yea i was looking for a lap top, but i travel to New york, Chicago and Miami to see family and vication so every little Break i have im on the move like on friday i have a flight to chicago, so i can pack my mac mini and use the moitor they haev there...im sure they wont mind..but im not reall looking in teh gaming, just music, movies and ths it... and if i get teh mac witch will in a littel while, i will hopefully never go back to Windows..but thnx for input man... |

| not sure, all i know it use's part of ram for video.... say u need atleast 64mb to run a game...so it will take tht 64mb from the ram.... if im not mistaking.... so ram plays a big roll in teh mac mini if thts true...any knows if im right??? one more question.... if install windows on the mac (witch i wont probly), i can use windows programs such as cakewalk, microsoft word, games, ect??? |
