Default I've been bad :(

In 2004 after using PCs for years I got a 1.5 GHz PowerBook G4 for my last 3 years of university. I still have the thing, but the performance is really starting to go down the tubes. The main problem is that programs are taking FOREVER to open as well as to quit. Even programs that I use regularly. I really haven't done any type of regular system maintenance on it or anything, and I think that may have something to do with it. It's getting to the point where I don't like to have Firefox and iTunes running at the same time, because it will cause certain webpages to run very sluggishly, and even tabbing will be slow. I have a 75GB HD, and there are 22GB free. I also only have 256 megs of ram. Can anyone help me try to restore it back to its glory days??

Defrag/cleanup or reformat.

Even Mac's need to be wiped sometimes.

Download CCleaner 2.07.575 - FileHippo.com

also do a defrag as previously mentioned and disable some startup processes.

CCleaner is a windows program, Redmo0n . Unless you can somehow run Windows programs on the mac machine itself (and not through a virtual machine).
