Default Itunes import

Whenever i import a song its not AAC format so i have to convert it then delete the origonal from the libary, is there any way that i can make it so that when i import it will automaticly convert to AAC then add to libary.

...and WAVs So unless you're converting from WMA, there's no need. And if you try to convert from WMA to AAC, your just super compressing an already super compressed song, so quality may suck.

If you're talking about GarageBand's "Import to iTunes" function, then the answer is no.
GarageBand imports as AIFF so you get high-quality. This cannot be changed.

Oh I did it to get them in my itunes folder. When I added the mp3 from "My Music" it wasnt in the Itunes folder but it was in the libary so i converted it to AAC and it was copied into the itunes folder
