Default Ipod Video 60GB HELP

Hi peeps

hope somebody can help me out here.

Heres my story:

I have a 5G Ipod Video which recently has been giving problems, it keeps loading the Apple Logo and then when it does it just power off and then restarts and keeps doing this in a loop.

MY PC will only regonise it when i manually put it into Disk Mode, at the minute i have it connected to my PC and it has a circle with a line through it saying do not disconnect and at the top say Disk Mode.

I have tired up dating the firmware to the newest one available, no joy, tired downgrading to the orgainal firmware, still no joy.

I have tired all the numerous combinations of butting pressing and still no joy.

Anybody any idea what i can do to slavage my good old friend of an ipod video?

Many Thanks

Neo

I assume you have already tried a hard reset?
