Pinscher will become famous soon enough

Default iMac slow down

I have a 1.25ghz g4 iMac w/ 256mb ram and an fx5200. I have the 20 in. widescreen model. I have had it a couple of years (can't remember exactly how long). Recently it has been running a lot slower than it used to be and programs are taking a lot longer to open and some things are getting laggy. iTunes skips sometimes as well. None of this used to happen. Any ideas of why this is happening and how I can fix it? O ya I have Mac OS X 10.3.9

Thanks alot for all of your help in advance.

iTunes lags on old machines, as of v7. It's just a fact of life now.

You should also consider upgrading the RAM, and even possibly to Tiger.

Couldn't hurt, but 99% of the time it doesn't help.

You just need more RAM.

Simple solution, really.

Might wanna think about upgrading to Tiger, too.
