Default iBook RAM

I just want to double check if this RAM will work in my mom's ibook.

This is the RAM im looking at.
1) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145065
or
2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820155110

My mom has a G4 ibook. It falls into the second category on this
list

Her ibook is really slow, it only has 256MB of RAM. I was thinking of taking out the 128MB stick in it and replacing it with a 1GB stick so she has 1.125GB of RAM to speed it up. It currently has the 128MB built in RAM and a 128MB PC2100 DDR SODIMM. She doesnt want to spend $300 for the memory from apple..... too **** expensive.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

yea it's compatible... as long as it supports up to a gig + (since you already have 128) then it will work.

iBook G4 with the built-in 128mb of RAM will only hold 640mb TOTAL ram. Your best option would be to upgrade to a 512mb added to the built-in ram.

(You can actually get a 1gb upgrade, but there is a chance that it may/may not work correctly)

Interesting. Well my main question was whether that non-apple RAM would work, and i guess it does, so ill double check the max memory and try to max it out.
