Hooking up a Mac into a PC-based network - Page 2

Ok I want a PC running windows to hook up the Mac with a wireless USB or something similar, for Internet. I don't want to have to get another modem, and just need to find something to plug into the Mac without a wire running through the house. I just want it to have Internet, and anything else would be like a bonus. Here's the question: What do I need to give the Mac Internet. I have a router, and have set it up, but I refuse to run a cord thru the house. I want something like the aforementioned USB plug-in thing. Could you please link me to something that will allow this?

What computer model is the Mac? If it's recent enough, it may already have a wi-fi card built-in. Otherwise there are many options available for purchase.

another modem? do you have that other kind of internet? i cant remember what its called ... the kind that goes through a phone but isnt dsl ... hmm

but if you have the internet, just get a router and plud both computers into the router, plug the cable/dsl modem into the router and thats it.

file sharing is slick and easy, share a folder on the windows computer, then open the finder and go to network and it'll say windows network, bam there it is.

then set up a share folder on the mac and bam it will show up on the windows computer

at least this is what i did. maybe its just by chance that it seems to work perfectly, but i dunno

DSL. Thats what I have. I don't want a wire running through the house. I realize I could do it that way, I just don't want to break my neck if I trip over it. Mac needs to be wireless. I need links to products that I could use to do that.

I don't know, I didn't buy it. All I know is that its not a Powerbook. I just need a something to plug into it that will allow it to connect to a wireless network.
