help, dvd drive doesn't work !

all of a sudden the dvd drive stopped working ! it doesn't mechanicly feed the CD in or out... or do ANYTHING... What should I do ???

ideas guys ?

Replace the drive? Seems like the most logical thing to do.

Well you never said it was a iMac.

replace a optical drive in a iMac - Google Search

There are results all over Google for it. I am sure Saxon can assist as well.

You can remove the drive from the mac it's self and use the eject hole to recover the disk, if your lucky and you probably wont be you can pic up a slot loader for that model on ebay but they are not a standard size they are thinner than a normal 5.5in.
