| Newb Techie | Well, thank you all for helping me with this computer, but now the printer is soooo screwy!!! Whenever I try to print to my sc740, it says error -192. I am so confused by this. I tried re-installing the driver and that still doesnt help, if anyone has any adivce, I would love to hear it!!! (once again, thanks in advance) ^_^ |

| Monster Techie | First off... are you in OS X or OS 9? And if you are in OS X, you can check your available printers in the print center utility under Utilities, under Applications. If your printer list is empty, click add printer. Most macs will take a moment to search for available printers. If no printer is found, a window will pop-up that has a drop-down list at the top of it. Click this list and select your printer's way of connection to your mac. ie: USB or AppleTalk Then OS X will find all available printers. ![]() However, if you are in OS 9... I pitty you because I have no knowlege of adding/troubleshooting printers in OS 9. sorry

| Mac_mogul, hes actually in OS8.5.1 so thats why I asked if he did a restart (sometimes that clears out conflicting printer extensions and stuff). Also may I recommend going to (apple menu)>Chooser and actually seeing if your printer is on the list. If not try a fresh driver reinstall (also redownload the drivers)
