Question G5 Revision?

Ok...we were expecting a revision to the Powermac G5 around this time...and now the G5 has appeared back on Apple's home page...but it appears exactly the same to me...

What's going on...if they are about to release the revision, why advertise the current one on the homepage now? Is there some error? Am I missing something incredibly stupid?

Theres been speculation on this but the general concensus is that we'll probably see revisions on the 27th.

Last weekend I was in San Diego for a conference and I stopped by the Fashion Valley Apple Store. All the G5's they had there were either dual 1.8s, or 2s... I thought it was strange that they didn't have a 1.6.

So if maybe that means something IS on it's way... i dunno...

I was there yesterday and I think the 1.6 is in the back of the room demos.

Haha maybe.

The salespeople dont really like me anymore there as sometimes I know more than they do about Macs Good thing they have a new batch of people there at now are asking if I need any help (the ones who have worked there for a while know my face and dont bother)

I have noticed that about the employee's there, unless they have a good attitude and are generally someone I can get along with I tend to find that they seem to be very protective of there status and they get mad if you help a customer at the genus bar *L* I have done that before.

Yeah Ive found that too. They get all sarcastic and defensive if you say something to a customer that theyre helping.
