Default Error 6019 in OS 9.2

I have a customer that cannot connect to the internet. The error message comes up as "Error 6019". I have googled this and only found something pertaining to webspeed Agent. What am I missing?

Any input is welcome. Thank you,

Can you be a bit more specific? What internet browser is he using? How does he connect to the internet? What action exactly causes this crash?

he uses dial up through internet explorer/Outlook express. The error occurs during the handshake of the modem.

sorry about the lack of details, hope this helps out.

OK, could you give me some information about the system and the modem? There are a very few machines that I know of that do not support handshaking thru the serial port (they are all older machines).

Thanks for the help, as it turns out the customer had a bad modem. apparently the error message read "Apple Remote Access, Modem not responding... error 6019" After trying both of the installed modems and getting the same msg. I recommended that he replace the modem. He was running an IMac with OS 9.2 and an internal modem. Other than that I don't know the rest of the specs.

Thanks Again for your time and effort.
