Default blind cyclope

bad news for me , my screen died !!

the apple store tried to replace the invrter first but nope a $44 part was not good enough so they said it's more likely ti be the screen... $830 without labor

as i found a repair manual i'm now looking for a 20" lcd screen for my imac 1.25ghz.
maybe a dead or limpy imac with a good screen could mate with my good working base but blind eye...?
i tied an old NEC monitor to it but as the mini-vga only works with... vga i can't connet it ti an apple display...

anyone an idea or suggestion ??

You could always get something like this, which would let you hook it up to a TV or projector.

thanks for the tip but i got already a mini-vga to vga adapter and think i'd rather get a $250-300 display like an ACER or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...C-pr1c3grabb3r
with a vga input
i noticed a lot of those small accessories go for $19; they must make a good profit selling small stuff like that for $19 !!

anyway, ideally i'd like to replace the dead screen with a used one that works and give $300 to someone else but "'got to do what you got to do" if nothing shows up...
