BitTorrent On OSX 10.4.9 (For you Networking Gurus out there)

I have OSX 10.4.9 installed. I'm using a Netgear router (going wirelessley in my house).

Whenever I want to DL something from bittorrent, my internet just stops working. I tried with both the firewall on and off... the internet just cuts off. It seems like I'm losing connection to the router (I have to go to the router and replug it in to get an internet connection again).

I'm just using the regular BitTorrent client. Anyone have a fix?

your isp prob doesnt like bittorrent and blacklists the ports/program what isp do you have?

I've never had a problem with BT before. It's RoadRunner from TimeWarnerCable (upstate NY region).

actually road runner and comcast are the worst isp's to use mnay people get caught on those beware! also try releasing your ip or resetting your router, make sure your client hasn't been banned either

I tried Tomato Torrent, guess it's working now without a prob. Let's see how long this lasts.
