The only problem I have with Apples is that fact that the software is kinda expensive and it takes along time for games to come out if they ever do.

but other than that apples are ok. I don't have a personal vendetta against them. But I still prefer PC's

ATIRAGEPRO

I have XP and it works like a charm.I have not had any problems yet. Your OS is only as good as the user using it.

But 95-ME were pieces of crap. they crashed all of the time.

Listen. I never said that anything was wrong with the GUI or anything else other than it's security issues. I guess nobody has actually attacked your computer directly before.

For goodnes sake; If peoples OS's were only as good as the user using it, then their USERS woldn't find reasons to complain about them soo- much! Sadly since the beginning of computer technology, there has been a major gap between computers and common sense, because the manufacturers didn't make them that way. It's really sad.

Well, I have.

Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 98, Windows 3.1; I've all had them crash on me for seemingly no reason. They were firewalled, had antiviruses and were otherwise mainted rather well.

Number of times I've had my Mac crash? Twice. Once because of a bad harddrive, and once because I was an idiot

I have a feeling that he is mixing two definitions of "crash" commonly thrown around computer circles, however only one of them is truly correct.

To truly crash a system is to have the system die in such a way that all data is for all intents and purposes lost. I believe he is also using crash to say "lock up" or any other type of non-fatal computer error that ceases function temporarily.

Correct me if Im wrong (I hope I am right because that would suck if your computer totally crashed a whole bunch of times under different OSes), but thats how I read it.

well, let me rephrase: i have had no fatal crahes with any version of windows from 3.1.1 all the way to XP.

I very rarely get non fatal crashes, and if i do, i fix it within a minute.

Crash, as in Total System Failure.

Well i guess you must spend most of your time re-installing windows eh?

I think quite a few of you have the definition of crash mixed up.
