when at the dorms in downtown nyc, its usually at 12mbps during off-peak and 4-6 megs peak..tuition is 14 grand a semester. =( I peaked the download capabilities to the limits of my computer. about 10 downloads at 200-300kb/s and Im convinced it can go further..

at home i get a measly 700/128 DSL for about 35 a month. whenever i come back for vacation, it feels like 56k. its pushing me to switch to cable big time.

384/384 is obviously SDSL which costs generally much more than ADSL
