Default Wisp in rural areas?

well I have DSL and I live in the country lucky for me I can get DSL and I was looking at this fixed wireless internet which the put a dish type thing on your roof and connect to a access point well its little more expensive than what we have and I'm a gamer (world of warcraft, counter strike and more) and its low latency for gaming here's the website KC Web Internet & Network Solutions and I was wondering if theres other ISP like this cheaper or faster internet and I know its good for gaming my friend has it and he plays gears of war on the xbox 360. Oh the max speed I'm getting is 55 kB/s on the internet im on now the reason why I'm trying to look for one is because WOW patches are a killer to download. It says on the website each package burst up to 3Mb/s but the bandwith is Bandwidth: 512Kb download/128Kb upload what do they mean by that?
