I'm wanting information. Actually I have a wireless card Motorola that I plug in, I have been told that it's a pain to connect wireless with Windows 2000 and I really don't have alot of experience with Windows 2000, I kinda skipped from 98 to XP. I just happen to have a copy of Windows 2000, that I acquired with alot of stuff and I thought I would use it instead of upgrading an 6 year old laptop. I do the XP home restore disk that came with the computer, but I really don't care for it and I don't want to spend alot of cash updating ram for this machine.
The only problem with wireless on windows 2000, is that it doesn't have a built in wireless manager. XP has the wireless zero configuration service installed. win2k does not.
The only thing that means, is that you need to use the software that the wireless card comes with in order to connect to a wireless network on a win2k machine.
