Default Wireless Network/Router/DSL

I'm connected with a 1MB DSL connection, using a Linksys Wireless router, not sure what modem. Anywho, Every now and then, I lose the connection, no way to connect, not through wireless network, nor through a wired connection. I'm using an Everex StepNote laptop, and an HP Pavillion desktop, when I lose the connection, I can't get connected for hours... Any ideas on ways to fix this?

Maybe your ISP is bad. Mine sometime does that, and i blame the ISP on that. Contact them.

When you get disconnected, do this. Open up command prompt and type ipconfig /all and take note of the default gateway. Now ping it. If you can still ping the router, it could be that your WAN IP changes and your router doesn't update it self. In this case I would update to the latest firmware.

Example
ping 192.168.1.1
