Hi everyone,
I have a home wireless network using Linksys wireless router. The main desktop PC is connect to the router via wires. My laptop can access to the network via wireless since it has built in Wi-Fi. Both machines can access the internet with ease (I have DSL from Earthlink). After the house clean up, I brought out my first (old) Pentium pc 133Mhz Windows 95 that I bought about 10 years ago. It's still working except a little slow due to an old age.
I really want to be able to use it to access the internet (my current DSL) so I went to CompUSA to buy a wireless network adapter card. Unfortunately, most of them like Netgear, Linksys cards required PENTIUM III or higher machine and mine is only PENTIUM machine (not even II).
I prefer wireless connection since the router is one room and this old pc will be in another. I will have to do a lot of drilling, buy a NIC card, cables....
I do not really want to upgrade this machine since I just want to use it for internet only.
Any suggestions or advices are greatly appreciated. Hopefully, someone can help or it will just go to Salvation Army.
Thank you.
