Hi, just got a new machine with windows vista on it. I have three already existing machines in the house running windows xp and i need to get them all on a network but i am unable to do so since i cant detect the windows vista machine on the network. I've set folders as shared on the vista machine but still nothing. Please help. Thanks

So you want to set up File Sharing on your network?

HAve u checked there both connected to the same network and are in the same Workgroup.(THEY MUST BE IN THE SAME WORKGROUP)

Try turning off the firewall and restarting both pc as they could have been blocked, once they turn back on have a look to see if you can detect them
