Default Windows Gateway Problem

Somehow, someway just recently I noticed that I have a gateway enabled under my network connections that I never created. I checked its settings and didnt find anything listed there, so I have no clue what this gateway does. I tried to disable and delete it, but for some reason it wont allow me to do such. In addition, disabling the gateway disables my ability to send and receive packets

My fear is that this is some kind of trojan (however NAV has never reported anything of the sort), is there anyway to get rid of this **** gateway???

No, you have nothing to worry about. That Internet Gateway computer icon usually appears when you have two network cards or if your computer was previously or currently setup for ICS or you use the network wizard to setup your Internet. Also if you have the uPnP enable on your router.

You can find more information at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821980/

Next time post at the Computer Networking & Internet Access section where most people browse.
