Default Why is my internet surfing so slow?

Lately my internet surfing has gone to snail speed, and it takes forever just to get an image. Sometimes, the images don't even come and I have to right click and click "show picture" to get them. I run a speed test though and am getting in the area of 900K both upstream and downstream. What could be slowing down my surfing?

Well, it's certainly not a slow CPU, that's for sure. How many computers are on your network or is it just yours?

Sometimes firewall or anti-virus settings can seem to slow the connection down.

*sob* I'm back on dial-up now, so I guess I have no hope of speeding it up.
