Default Why does it do that?

I have a wirless network, which i connect to the router to get internet, I'm currenty setting up a small network (2pcs and a switch).

The wirless internet works fine, as soon as i turn the switch on, the network is detected and then the internet on my machine goes down, its still got signal and im still connected to the router i just cant access the internet, Why is this?

Thanks

I see you are trying to tell me you have a total of two computers. When you connect one computer to the BT router, does that computer have an IP address that begins with any of the following below.

10.xxx.xxx.xxx
172.xxx.xxx.xxx
192.xxx.xxx.xxx

You can list it if it does, because these are just internal address. You don’t have to list your global IP it’s assigned to that computer.

Hopefully you have one of the three IP listed above so that at least DHCP or NAT is enable.
